ATHS Survey: Telehealth Services during COVID-19

We undertook an online cross-sectional survey of subscribers to the Australian Telehealth Society (ATHS) newsletter between July 5th, 2020 and September 10th, 2020. An abstract from the published paper, and the survey results is available.

Telehealth Awareness Week

As a result of discussion and enthusiasm expressed during the final panel session of SFT 2018, the ATHS committed to supporting a national ‘Telehealth Awareness Week’ in 2019.  This builds on the experience and successes of the Western Australia campaigns in 2017 and 2018. Online resources for clinicians

Other resources for Australian practitioners include those produced by the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM). ACRRM has produced a number of resources including provider and technology directories. A password is required to access some of these resources.

ACRRM has provides advice on risk management when using video conference software and a guide to organising telehealth services in your practice.

MBSonline features several documents relating to the Australian MBS Telehealth items, including guidelines and statistics.

The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners has produced a number of guidelines, including guidelines and fact sheets.

The American Telemedicine Association has an online Learning Centre.
