Telehealth eases chronic pain in Australia’s outback
Many small regional communities find it impossible to even attract a general practitioner, despite offering incentives like free housing and high incomes. And those dealing with chronic pain are at a particular disadvantage, often needing multiple practitioners like physiotherapists, psychologists and chiropractors. A number of digital programs and systems have been developed to help deliver assistance for chronic pain sufferers. One of them is a collaborative effort between a couple of Western Australian museums and the WA Government, called painHEALTH.
